Our mission is to help all children become more emotionally resilient and better placed to engage with life and learning. We will achieve this through our whole-school approach to wellbeing - proven to improve attendance, behaviour and attainment.
All children are greeted each morning by staff to ensure a calm positive start to the day.
The children are taught their PSHE Curriculum following Lifewise PSHE. LifeWise is a comprehensive, digital PSHE curriculum covering health, relationships and the wider world.
The PSHE curriculum is supported by The Zones of Regulation and The Thrive Approach which are embedded into daily school practice.
The Zones of Regulation.
The Zones of Regulation is a framework that categorises all human emotions and states of alertness into four color-coded zones. It teaches individuals to identify their feelings, understand triggers and use practical strategies to regulate their emotions and manage behaviour. The Zones of Regulation are embedded into school life with the children and adults encouraged to recognise their feeling and develop strategies to ensure they are ready to learn and socialise.

The Thrive Approach.
The Thrive Approach is a whole-school, trauma-informed program designed to support children's social and emotional development. By operating on the core belief that "behaviour is communication," it helps educators understand underlying emotional needs and equips schools to respond effectively, improve attendance, and boost academic readiness.
Thrive helps children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
